The La Crosse Technology WS-8010UM Giant Mahogany Wireless Weather Forecaster is a classic. The WS-8010UM originally sold for over $250 a few years ago. As they were too expensive to produce with their large Mahogany body, they were discontinued. We've acquired a small number of N.O.S. (New Old Stock) units that were misplaced in the warehouse in the wrong boxes. These are new, with a one year warranty. If you wanted one of these a few years ago but didn't get one, you've got another chance. Sale price: $99.95 | The WS-8011UM is black with handsome wood accents in a mahogany finish. Its large digital displays provide excellent readability. Similar in appearance to the WS-8001UM Moon Phase Clock, this model provides an outdoor temperature reading in place of the moon phase. The WS-8011UM Atomic Wall Clock displays not only the time, month, date, and day but also the indoor temperature and, as reported by the included TX6U wireless remote temperature sensor/transmitter, the outdoor temperature. | Please note. For the atomic wood wall clock models, the signal these wall clocks receive does not propagate well during the day. That's the nature of the signal, not the clock. These wood wall clocks are designed to catch the signal when they can, generally in the middle of the night, calibrate themselves, and then run quite accurately for days until they can catch another signal. When you first put in the batteries, they will most likely not set themselves until the middle of the night. The analog clocks generally tick for a few seconds, advance to 4:00, and wait, depending on the model. The included instructions will cover the setting procedure. |
